Perry Knoppert is an artist of life, driven by his non-conformist spirit and a passion for empowering non-linear thinkers. Born in the free-spirited Netherlands, he was exposed to the diversity of the market while selling lampshades with his father. But Perry yearned for more and discovered the beauty of unexpected possibilities in living abroad like in Beijing, China. After a huge shift in his life he founded The Octopus Movement, a global network that has become a mycelium of nonlinear thinkers.
Perry embraces his ADHD energy, dyslexic learning style, and multi-tasking brain, and has found his true calling as a visionary, trailblazer, and true-life artist. His movement, symbolized by the curious misfit octopus, is on a mission to get the world to recognize and harness the gifts of non-linear thinkers. The Octopus Movement has grown to include 5000+ members from over 83 countries who approach problem-solving in unconventional and creative ways, often bringing unique creativity to entrepreneurship, the arts, and other careers.
Perry's life has been a tapestry of varied experiences and accomplishments that have shaped him as an artist. He has consulted at marQuake, hosted a TV show on Wasai Media in Hong Kong, and served as vice president of animal-feed company Provimi.
His journey has taught him the value of non-linear thinking and the power of making connections between seemingly unrelated concepts.
But Perry's artistic passion extends beyond his work with the Octopus Movement. He is a lover of art, culture, and nature, and finds inspiration in the world around him. He sees life as a canvas, waiting to be painted with the colors of creativity and passion. Perry's goal is to help others realize their own artistic potential, especially those who may have been told they can't do something or don't fit into the mold. He visits classrooms to talk about "multipotentiality," encouraging children to embrace their unique talents and approach life with an artful mindset.
Perry Knoppert is an artist of life, living his own canvas and inspiring others to do the same.
